Description
Zodiac Crystal Clear Filter Media is a type of filtration media with numerous environmental and health benefits that can be used as a direct replacement for sand or zeolite. Zodiac Crystal Clear comes in two grades – coarse and fine. The coarse crystals are placed in the bottom of the filter to prevent clogging, and the fine crystals are placed on top to ensure deeper, more effective filtration than sand.
More efficient water flow also saves energy, and up to 65% less water when backwashing compared to sand. Chlorine demand is also lower for pools with sand filters using glass media and the smooth unique crystal surface discourages harmful bacteria from attaching itself to the glass.
